Bargain, Saver, and Economy Fares are sold from restricted inventory, which means they may not be available for purchase even when a train is not full. The lowest fares sometimes sell out weeks or months in advance. At Amtrak’s sole discretion, there may be trains that do not have any seats at the lower fares.

Train travel to Orcas, Friday Harbor, and Lopez involves a ferry and a transfer to complete the journey. The Catch-A-Train NetworkTM
of ferry and transfer operations provides convenient train connections for travelers between the San Juan Islands and Amtrak stations in the Cascades region such as Seattle, Portland, Salem, & Eugene. Connections are provided to the San Juan Islands via the venerable Washington State ferries. These ferries to Lopez, Shaw, Orcas, & Friday Harbor carry passengers all year. Connections also are available to Sea-Tac Airport and to Vancouver, British Columbia. |
