Solo fares and fares purchased fewer than 5 days in advance are somewhat higher.
Fares for groups of three or more are available at a discount.

Bargain, Saver, Economy, and Acela Standard Fares are sold from restricted inventory, which means they may not be available for purchase even when a train is not full.  The lowest fares sometimes sell out weeks or months in advance.  At Amtrak's sole discretion, there may be trains that do not have any seats at the lower fares.

Amtrak offers Acela and Regional trains in the Northeast Corridor with reserved seat comfort.
Acelas offer Business Class and First Class .
Regional trains offer Coach Class and Business Class and sometimes offer faster schedules than Acela.
First Class offers spacious 2-and-1 seating and food is served at your seat.  Seats are not pre-assigned.

Off-Peak prices are not valid for travel 8/31-9/03, 10/05-10/08, 1109-11/12, 11/20-11/27, or after 12/13/07.  Availability on all other dates is subject to capacity control by Amtrak.  Reservations must be made at least 5 days prior to travel date.  Not valid in Business Class.
